The best way to start the month? Meet one of my favorite authors and have my books signed!
Last March 2, I get the chance to meet author Tahereh Mafi and had my copy of Shatter Me and Unravel Me signed. I almost wasn't able to do that because, yeah, I'm kind of stupid, to my excitement I forgot that the event was sponsored by a certain bookstore and one of the requirements was that your copy has to be purchased in any of their branch. I bought my copy of Unravel Me to a rival store. Fail. So I was forced to buy a new copy of Shatter Me on the event. Haha! But it's okay because it was totally worth it. And yes, Ransom Riggs was there too. He was only supposed to be an audience member but he end up speaking and signing books too.
Tahereh was super fun and cool. The Q&A part was very funny, especially when Riggs joined in. Teherah also said that she might write something on Adam's pov (Wohoo!), an e-novella between book two and three. And yes, she's done with the final book! Unfortunately we will have to wait for another whole year before it comes out.
My signed copy of Shatter Me and Unravel Me! :)
So there you go. This is my first post for almost a month of not updating. I'm really sorry guys. I just finished my internship this week. Yay! And I think I'll have more time now to post some stuff and update this blog. Thanks for all those who've been visiting this blog and seriously, I gained some followers even with my lack of new posts!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D
I am Jelly right now. :( Couldn't go because it was exam week >.<
ReplyDeleteEeeeee Eunice you got to meet Tahereh!!! You are one lucky girl!! I can't believe that she is done with book three but we have to wait a whole another year for it's release, I'm definitely looking forward to getting something from Adam though. Thanks for sharing this great post with us! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so great you actually got to meet Tahereh Mafi! You're so lucky. And you got your books signed (which is practically almost every reader's wish :D).
ReplyDeleteAnd the wait for the 3rd book would be pure torture.
Aw, these event recaps are so fun. I'm glad you got to meet Tahereh, she is absolutely hilarious in all the recaps and videos I've seen. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with getting back into blogging--I totally understand it's hard to come back after a long break, but it's good to have free time again.

Gahh, totally jealous! Just from reading her Tweets and her blog you can see she's an amazing and hilarious person, so meeting her in real life just has to be unbelievable. I can't believe we have to wait an entire year for the third book! We definitely need novellas and to read from Adam's POV to help us make it through.
ReplyDeleteFab post, E, thanks for sharing! It is really difficult to keep up with blogging sometimes, so I understand. I look forward to seeing all the stuff you have coming up. :)
So there, too! PM'ed you in Goodreads. wish we met at the book signing event :(
ReplyDeleteTM and RR rocks!
Awww, that's so lucky of you, Eunice! x) I wish I could meet her too someday - she sounds like a very wonderful person! <3 And gah, I'm worse blogger than you, what with my three months sudden disappearance, so the worst blogger award is all mine LOL. :P So don't worry! ;) I'm glad that you've finished your internship! I hope you had fun during the internship. Can't wait for you to be back here in blogosphere! <3 :)
ReplyDeleteI've yet to start this series though I only recently bought Shatter Me, so many good reviews for Unravel Me going round that I have to see what all the fuss is about. Great for you to get to meet Tahereh, but I have to admit I didn't know who Ransom Riggs was, I had to look him up lol :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Ransom Riggs is another author. He wrote Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Hope you enjoy Shatter Me and Unravel Me! :)
DeleteI'm jealous! I wish I could have met Tahereh Mafi. She seems like such an interesting person. :) It's great that you got to meet her!
ReplyDeleteAnd an Adam novella?! I really hope so! I love that guy. ;)
